Projek Dorcas is a personal inspiration birthed from the biblical story of Tabitha in Acts chapter 9. Tabitha (in Aramaic) which is translated Dorcas, was a woman full of good works and charitable deeds. I have personally been inspired to sew and wish to set up this blog in support of Rainbow Women’s Home (a Christian drug rehabilitation center in Kuala Lumpur under KENOSIS @ www.kenosis.org.my).
Projek Dorcas will sew, stitch and handcraft to help raise funds for Rainbow Women’s Home. One of its aim is to encourage the Rainbow residents to make positive contribution to the society from meaningful work by making handicrafts. Part of your purchases from the ‘SHOP’ here will go to the work of Rainbow Women’s Home. Some of the items (eg earrings and colorful note pads) are made by the residents while most handmade fabric stuffs displayed are personally crafted by me. When we see people appreciate our talents, we are encouraged.
If you do need information about Rainbow Home, do not hesitate to email me at projekdorcas@gmail.com
Whatever support that comes (whether big or small) will bring hope and joy to some lives at Rainbow Home. To this, we appreciate very much and will be very thankful.
